The College Station City Council has narrowed its search for a new city manager to four finalists:
Robert Goode was appointed Assistant City Manager for Transportation Services in March 2008. Goode oversees the Infrastructure Services group that includes Austin Resource Recovery; Austin Water Utility; the Corridor Program Implementation Office; and the Public Works and Transportation departments.
Before coming to Austin, Robert served as Director of Transportation and Public Works for the City of Fort Worth. In his time with Fort Worth, he managed more than 400 employees in bridges, transportation and development and traffic engineering and operations.
Goode has also held leadership positions in public works and engineering with Travis County and the City of Olympia, Wash. Goode’s expertise is transportation infrastructure and planning. He boasts 26 years of experience in the civil engineering profession, six of which were private consulting.
