The Stella Hotel’s July Summer Star Party — Thursday, July 19

WHO:  The Stella and Texas A&M University’s Department of Physics and Astronomy

WHAT: In partnership with the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Texas A&M University, The Stella is excited for the second Star Party to take place this summer.

After a successful kick off to the Summer Star Parties Series on June 21, the second Star Party will occur on Thursday, July 19 at 9 p.m.

Once again, locals and visitors are invited to gather in The Back Yard at The Stella for an experiential evening of stargazing and sky watching, led by Texas A&M astronomer Dr. Jennifer Marshall. The Star Party will feature a variety of telescope stations that will be pointed at different celestial bodies, including planets, constellations and the moon. Members of Dr. Marshall’s team will be stationed at each telescope to help guide visitors through the viewing process.

Throughout the Star Party, The Stella will offer an al fresco bar serving a variety of refreshing beverages. For those looking to get the party started early, The Stella will offer a complimentary dessert bar starting at 8 p.m. Additionally, the hotel is offering a 10% discount at their on-site restaurant, Campfire, for those who plan to stop by the restaurant prior to the event.
