In addition to their brewed-on-site beer, Blackwater Draw Brewing Company – Northgate is fast becoming famous for their 50/50 burger topped with Monterey jack, avocado, and pico.

Burger House is cozy and interesting inside with what appears to be a good number of regular patrons. For those that do not know this used to be a Shipley’s donuts and was a hot spot in this part of Bryan for many years. A lot of the same people still come here for the burgers.

The Grub menu features 9 hamburgers, as well as three additional sandwich options: turkey, portabella mushroom and fish. Burger toppings range from the traditional lettuce, tomato, mayo and mustard on The Front Porch Burger ($5.50) to the Voodoo Burger ($6.95) topped with absinthe sauteed mushrooms, swiss cheese and tabasco mayonnaise. They also offer salads and “loaded” sides like Chili Cheese Fries.

The “Doddy Dip” was a recent specialty burger at Hopdoddy. The Northgate burger joint is known for its ephemeral and delicious specialty craft burgers.

The burgers feature meat ground in-house, fresh baked buns, and top notch toppings. The menu includes regular beef burgers along with Bison and lighter options like Turkey and Ahi Tuna. Their beef comes from HUMANELY RAISED COWS, never, ever given growth hormones or antibiotics.

Simple, no-frills, traditional burgers that have been called the best in town and even ranked in the state by several media outlets. Fries are fresh cut. Atmosphere is hunting lodge chic.

Head to Top Of The Hill in Benchley for one of the finest burgers probably in the history of Texas. Fresh buns are toasted in butter, meat is flat grilled where the edges are carmelized, lettuce is fresh and shredded, cheese melted perfect (a Bobby Flay requirement), tomatoes are fresh vine ripened local grown and the jalapenos are in-house pickled. All real food, fresh never frozen beef.

If you’re looking for a great burger with a thick, hand-made shake, Wayback Burger is your spot.
