Fast-casual restaurant concept, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, opens on Thursday, Feb. 1, at 913 William D. Fitch Pkwy., Ste. 100. The opening marks the second Freddy’s in the area, joining another location in Bryan.
“The steady flow of traffic through the area on the William Fitch Parkway retail corridor makes it a great fit for Freddy’s,” said Keith Alter, franchise owner. “With the opening of a second area restaurant, we’re prepared to serve guests in College Station with the same friendly service and great taste they’ve come to love at our Bryan location.”
The 3,556 square-foot, freestanding restaurant seats 100 guests and has additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service is also available. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Freddy’s is known for its signature lean ground-beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is churned fresh several times throughout the day.
“Two of our most popular items are the Freddy’s Original Double and the Signature Turtle Sundae,” said Alter. “There are a variety of condiments and toppings for our cooked-to-order food and freshly churned custard, so we encourage you to customize your orders to your liking. You may just find your own special Freddy’s favorite.”
Co-founded in 2002 by Scott Redler and Bill, Randy and Freddy Simon, Freddy’s opened its first location in Wichita, Kan., offering a unique combination of cooked-to-order steakburgers, Chicago dogs, and other savory items along with its signature desserts prepared with premium frozen custard churned fresh throughout the day. Today, 292 Freddy’s restaurants serve a total of 31 states across the nation from California to Pennsylvania, Virginia and down the east coast states to Florida. In 2017, Freddy’s has been named for a fifth time to Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500 list (ranked #41), and has, for the fourth year in a row, been included as one of the top 10 on Franchise Times magazine’s Fast & Serious list. Other notable accomplishments include several consecutive years on Inc. Magazine’s 500/5000 list of “Fastest-Growing Private Companies,” a feature on Consumer Reports’® lists of best burgers, cleanest fast-food restaurants and those with the best service last published in 2014, and first-place winner of many local newspaper readers’ choice categories throughout the U.S. including Best Burger, Best Fries, Best Hot Dog and Best Dessert.
