Kids need food to be happy and healthy. For households at risk of hunger, school meals are a lifeline. On the weekends and during holiday breaks, when access to those meals is gone, parents face daily stressors to ensure meals are on the table. The Brazos Valley Food Bank’s BackPack Program alleviates some of this burden by providing bags full of kid-friendly, nourishing foods through schools in the 6-county area for children to take home on the weekends.
By donating to the Brazos Valley Food Bank, you are ensuring that students not only have enough food for the weekend, but that their minds and bodies will be ready to learn come Monday morning.
