Growing up in South Florida, there was Royal Castle – tiny burgers with minced onions and a round pickle slice almost the size of the hamburger patty on a fluffy bun. Mmmmm. Now there’s Mickey’s Sliders – what a huge improvement over those tiny burgers of my youth!
The person at the register helped me choose several (4, in fact) sliders that he liked and that other customers liked because I couldn’t possibly pick just one. Don’t worry, I didn’t eat all of them, I brought several home. The fried chicken breast on two waffles with butter maple syrup was indescribably good.
Also, they serve Boots sodas and this was my first time to try them. They’re made with pure cane sugar, not high fructose corn syrup. I had root beer – YES! It tasted like the root beer candies I had as a kid.
