Art Students & Teachers Help Fight Hunger in the Brazos Valley at Empty Bowls Jr.

The Arts Council, Bryan Broadcasting and Taste of BCS invite the community to Empty Bowls, Jr. on Saturday, February 27th from 11am to 2pm at Crystal Park Plaza, located at 2700 Rudder Freeway. Students and teachers from the Brazos Valley have worked diligently to create handmade bowls to donate for this event. A donation of $10 is requested for each unique bowl, with all proceeds benefitting local student food banks and programs of the Arts Council.
Individuals who make a donation for a bowl will be served a delicious meal of soup and bread as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the community. Member restaurants of the Taste of B-CS will donate their delicious signature soups for this event. Stop by, pick out a bowl, make a donation and enjoy soup and bread from Blue Baker, Casa Rodriguez, C&J BBQ, Cafe Eccell, Shipwreck Grill, Amico Nave, Murphey’s Law, Carney’s Pub, and The Village Café. Bryan Broadcasting is excited to announce that local stations Candy 95.1, Peace 107.7, Maverick 100.9, and The Zone 102.7 will be there to support the fight to end hunger!
